At this point, none of you know much about me (except, naturally, those reading this, who already know me), but with time you might just learn more about me, than I know about me by reading this blog, for the writer can’t always have an objective and neutral view on his own writings. However, I am currently living in Denmark. I’ve been living here for whole ten years, and have eventually accepted this country, or more specifically the city I live in, Copenhagen (the capital) as my true home. In my childhood days, I lived in Bulgaria and later also in Singapore. Two countries that in many senses are the complete opposites of one another. Living in such different nations has naturally contributed to the creation of my personality and my mentality, and also thought me new languages. Throughout time I’ve learned Danish, Bulgarian, English and a little German, Spanish and even a slight bit of French, but to me, English is by far the most pleasant of the mentioned languages, which is why this blog is in English and not any other language.
In this internet-age of ours, I personally believe that everyone, no matter nationality, gender, age and race should be educated to speak English as a mother tung. Of course many would disagree with me on this opinion, but take a second and think about it. Through the global internet network, we are all closer to one another than ever. Within seconds, we can contact the world, and the world contact us. In the world of the web, there are no borders and hardly any limits, and in order to use the full potential of such a limitless universe, it is necessary that we all are able to understand one another. It is much like the story of the Tower of Babel really – we’ve got the materials, the builders and the will to build the tower, but we lack the gift of communication in order to achieve our task. Just imagine a world where everyone understands everyone…
